A Talk in a Travel Car

A little while ago, I went back to my hometown with a travel car to attend the presidential election. The car I was in was a Toyota 1300cc car and the driver was going 80-100 km/h. The other passenger was a middle aged woman who told us that this was her first time using this travel service.  She kept complaining about how fast the driver drove the car and asked him to slow down. It confused me as I felt it was an okay-speed. In fact, it is around the speed limit of the free way. After she complained two times, the driver finally said, “Well ma’am, my car is used for public transport. We can’t compare it with your private car” and I nodded in agreement. Although my father always drives this way with our private car, I agree that a public transportation car maybe would feel worse than her privately owned. It’s used everyday, maybe there are litters, she doesn’t like the smell of the perfume, etc. “Well, I am just saying sir, because I was also a driver. I usually drive past th...

A Meeting with Veronica

Tino Shouldn't be Asleep

In the early years of his life, Tino is used to be awake and wary. If his aunt is out, he shouldn't be asleep. If his aunt is home, he shouldn't be asleep without making sure that she is asleep. In another special occasion, he could fall asleep after he made sure she was having a good mood. So why shouldn't it be different this time? He swung his legs on the sofa. The clock is pointing at 8 PM. Jojo's awfully late today. He usually would be home by now. Tino hummed. Did the bakery need some help again? It's not like it's rarely happen... just it's rare of Jojo not telling him beforehand. Well, whether he told him or not, Tino still wouldn't shut his eyes before his arrival. Who knows what he could do when he was asleep— Tino looked at the floor. Who knows what he could do when he was— ...Huh. He waited. And waited. And waited. And it's 1 AM. No sign of Jojo's arrival. Tino yawned. He shouldn't be asleep... Is Jojo okay? Should he report to t...
