Today was Pretty Annoying

To be fair, today was pretty annoying.

The tap was anything but flowing flawlessly, rain fell heavily immediately after I dried my clothes, the traffic was jamming, and people were pissing me off.

I spat on the sink before I brew my coffee, deciding caffeine would be needed for my system to work correctly. In my head, it’s probably almost impossible to enjoy this day.

The word [ almost ] was chosen for the slightest optimism that was left in my heart. For the slightest possibility that today wouldn’t be that bad.

“Good morning” my co-worker greeted me as I entered the office, with a smile on his face and hand on the misprogrammed printer, “You can help me with this?”

Aw, darn shit.

I mumbled under my breath. And yet... another person that can’t be counted for their abilities...

“Yeah”

I shifted over, messing around with cables and screws. The printer started trembling and then printed the page that was meant to be printed.

“Oh! Thank you very much!” his face lightened up, collecting the printed papers “I’ve been struggling since dawn, good lord!”

“You got here early,” I said flatly, watching the printer keep working without any problem.

“Yeah! Too early even. I need to collect this to the head of the office but I forgot to print it ahead. So, I was meaning to print it early in the morning but...” he sighed, “Well, it’s a good thing you always got here on time! Thank you! You are my savior!”

I stared at him for a second, “Mmmh, nothing much”

The world outside the window shines with a clear sky. Dripping from the end of the roof what it’s left from this morning’s rain.

“Well, I guess...”

Today is not that bad.
